Lakshadweep Development Corporation Limited (LDCL), a wholly-owned enterprise of the Government of India, was established on December 22, 1987, under the Companies Act, 1956. Conceived as a pivotal force for socio-economic transformation in the Union Territory of Lakshadweep, LDCL has evolved into a cornerstone institution, blending strategic vision with operational excellence. From its inception, the Corporation was entrusted with a multifaceted mandate to catalyze development across diverse sectors, as outlined in its Memorandum of Association.
