Selected through a transparent public tender process, these contractors are rigorously evaluated for their technical expertise and financial strength to deploy qualified Merchant Navy Officers and Ratings aboard UTLA vessels. Our policy prioritizes the engagement of qualified officers from the islands, a directive formally communicated to all manning contractors, ensuring opportunities for local talent. Tasked with ensuring seamless deployment, they manage monthly remuneration, including salaries and allowances, while facilitating emergency local purchases for ratings, with reimbursements swiftly processed by LDCL. By submitting detailed invoices and disbursement statements, contractors ensure smooth payment of manning fees and allowance reimbursements, upholding regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and timely, fair compensation for all onboard personnel in a streamlined and professional manner.
