LDCL deploys a dedicated workforce of over 300 ratings (crew members) onboard vessels owned by Administration of U T of Lakshadweep and operated by LDCL, all of whom are local islanders directly deployed by LDCL, reflecting our steadfast commitment to fostering regional employment and empowering island communities.Our meticulous crew management process consists of seamless identification and roster management, rigorous medical examinations aligned with Directorate General of Shipping compliance, and comprehensive remuneration and benefits administration, including timely disbursement of monthly salaries and allowances as per the National Maritime Board Agreement. Further, LDCL diligently oversees statutory payments, including Provident Fund, Gratuity, and contributions to the Seamen’s Welfare Fund, while also reimbursing routine medical examination expenses and hospitalization costs, ensuring the well-being and security of our valued crew, who form the backbone of our maritime operations.
