As per the provisions of the Rule 3 of the Right to Information Rules, 2012, a request for obtaining information shall be accompanied by an application fee of ₹10/- (Rupees Ten only). The fee may be paid by way of cash against proper receipt, demand draft, banker’s cheque, or Indian Postal Order (IPO) payable to the Lakshadweep Development Corporation Ltd.

No fee under Rule 3 or Rule 4 of the Right to Information Rules, 2012 shall be charged from any person belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, provided that a copy of a valid certificate issued by the appropriate government authority confirming BPL status is submitted along with the RTI application.

As per Rule 4 of the Right to Information Rules, 2012, the following fee structure shall apply for providing information under the RTI Act, 2005: ₹2 per page for information on A3 or smaller-sized paper; actual cost or price for photocopies on larger-sized paper; actual cost or price for samples or models; ₹50 per diskette or floppy; the price fixed for publications or ₹2 per page of photocopy for extracts from the publication; and the actual postal charges, if the cost of supply exceeds ₹50.
